TBT - Transilvania Bike Trails

Come and explore the beautiful area of the Saxon villages in S-E Transylvania, by bike! Get the route of the trails using our map, find out more about the rich biodiversity of the area and the history of the fortified churches dating back to the 14th century. Spend more days in the area trying new activities (pottery workshops, bear watching, “meet the bees”, traditional cheese and bread making) and meeting the people who live in this unique landscape of Europe! Get information about the accommodation in the area, indulge yourself with the special taste of the traditional food and take away some of the local products for your loved ones!

Fundatia ADEPT Transilvania built the first 100 km mountain-bike trails in Romania, to give a firm base for sustainable tourism in the area. This network of mountain-bike trails links eight Saxon villages: Viscri - Bunești - Criț - Meșendorf - Cloașterf - Saschiz - Archita - Daia and the most important touristic attraction, the medieval city of Sighișoara.

The project was supported by a grant from Switzerland through the Swiss Contribution to the enlarged European Union.
